Artondale Cemetery AssociationEstablished in 1895, the Artondale Cemetery Association has been and continues to be a community based organization dedicated to maintain and preserve the tradition of honoring the history of family members, friends and community residents buried there. The Association’s first officers in 1895 were Milton Hunt, president, E.W. Young, vice president, John Atkinson, secretary, Miles Hunt, treasurer, and E.A. Atkinson, sexton. In the early years, the Artondale Cemetery Association spent time clearing the land, surveying and laying out the lots. Artondale Cemetery Association membership continues today to preserve and protect this burial place. Membership is open to plot owners and their family members. Contributions to the Artondale Cemetery Association General Fund or the Endowment Care Fund are welcome from all. The Artondale Cemetery Association general membership meeting is held in late April. Members generally meet the first Saturday in May, always the weekend before Mother's Day, on a volunteer basis to do general maintenance of the Cemetery.
